Overview of our group video call

Great call, merci!

Here are our main takeaways for the Round 2 review.

Green highlighted text means the item is complete

100H HYDRATOR:

  • Try to find a wider shot for an initial scene setting

  • Update to the proper deco (label)

  • Go back to my original interior jar design

    • However, make the lighting less pink

  • Attempt to solve the issue of the top jar

    • Either fix the clouds and remove it or replace with a generic jug/beaker

  • Add a tighter shot to show the inner workings

  • End with a door opening shot that shows a bunch of water spilling out for a big finish

GLOW SERUM:

  • Glassify the opening shot bottles (milk glass)

  • Attempt to add more water coming off the brim to make this more moisture connected

Other:

  • Address sound

    • Bring down the music and provide ambient options

Email notes from Clinique: MS100:

  • Prefer Ian’s version of the inner machine. More authentic to social while still premium.

  • Adjust color of interior to match better to the product.

  • Lighting of interior should not be neon. Our lighting code page attached if it helps although referencing white, the general direction might still be helpful.

  • Open close on the deco is important, then pulling back for a wider establishing to really get a sense of being in this space and then push back in closer than in the current version to really see the mechanics of the machine.

  • Remove sustainability seal from product.

  • WATER- Can we add more overt water flowing down into the machine, and the water flowing out of the base cascading over the steps should be more of a gush of water.

  • If we need something on top of the product to mask the fountain top, change what you have now that looks like a jar on top of a jar to a beaker – which would tie in to our tvc - beaker top left and bottom right.

MS Serum:

  • Add rush of water flowing abundantly over the pedestal the product is sitting on and flowing down the base of the fountain.

  • Try and bring more of the glass texture to the bottle. At the beginning of the shot looks more opaque and then as we rotate the camera looks more like glass. If we can have that glass feeling throughout it would be best.

  • Smooth the transition from day shot to sunset shot.

Audio overall:

  • For each -Mix of the track, captured ambient audio of the scene and sfx. Tracks should be in for emotional connection but mixed down to allow the ambient audio and sfx to shine through and give this a sense of authentic place.

***Love the offer of shorter clips for postings included in the deliverables of the 15s edits.
