V1 Draft and background info.
ALORS!
We had some incredible luck with this shoot. I happened to be at the fountains during several key moments - like when the jets were turned off for maintenance, at sunset, and even at times when there weren’t four million tourists around. And all of this on the day before the end of the Tour de France! Sacre bleu.

This shoot/animation is a bit more straightforward than the Hydrator animation, and I see two possible paths forward.
The first version is a simple single scene: the bottle glowing on top of the fountain at sunset.
(While I fully recognize this bottle isn’t completely accurate to the product, the choice was intentional... and of course we can adjust it if needed 🤗.) Here’s the very simple version mocked up as a post. The benefit of this subtle approach is that it feels realistic, and I could see people appreciating that simplicity. Plus, I just love that little bird landing on the top - it totally sells the effect for me.
Now, if we want to go more complex, I also created a version with multiple shots that tell more of a story. In this cut, the installation transforms over the course of the day; starting off as a fairly accurate bottle and then “glowing” by the time the sun sets. Several of these scenes could be adjusted (or even removed), but I put together a 15-second edit that captures the idea.
So there you have it! I’m really happy with how the shoot turned out, and I hope the clip resonates with everyone. We can of course address color grading, ensure the label is properly locked up, and talk about my audio choices, but for now I’m keeping my fingers crossed that this direction appeals.
