Holiday Idea 01

GIFT OF MAGIC

The idea that I like the most is a Christmas-morning scene with all sorts of fantastical le Creuset style gifts and a bit of humor. We open on the dad who has received a crock-pot barbecue. He's super ecstatic having received this awesome gift - which I would make in 3D to mimic the anniversary pot.

We then go to the daughter who shrieks with joy and says, "OMG you found them!" showing off the Creuset earrings she has just opened.

Followed by the son yelling, "Awesome!" as he turns on his new Creuset remote control car which takes off over the wrapping paper on the floor.

Now for the final scene I would like to turn the expectations upside down. The logical final beat would be the mom who opens a box and gets an actual Le Creuset flamme doree pot but I think it would be funnier (and get more engagement) if we subvert expectations and do something totally unexpected. One idea that I love is that the mom opens up a large box marked "Le Creuset" and we think it's a pot but she goes, "Oh you guys! You got me a teleporter - I love it!" And then she holds up a futuristic orange ray blaster.

We could even add a record-scratch sound effect for good measure. We then cut to a final scene showing the real flamme doree filled with muffins on a counter surrounded by holiday decorations. Suddenly a portal opens midair and we see the mom's hand reach through and grab a muffin.

An alternate approach could be that the mom gets an orange light saber (similar reaction and excitement) and then we finish on a family scene where she is cutting a holiday turkey with the light saber with Creuset dishware on the table.

Why I think this approach could really work is that it has a lot of fun and charm (the bbq and remote control car will get lots of comments) and then it also has unexpected humor. People won't share things just because they're nice or cute, you need to surprise people and get them to share a clip and I feel this could do that really well.
